This trip’s theme was supposed to Winery tour. I wanted to visit Chateau Margaux!

I told a lady who arranges winery tour in tourist information office that I want to visit to chateau Margaux.

She said, “THE Chateau Margaux!?”  “Do you have reservation?”

I said, “No.”  She said, “It’s a problem!.”     I’m pretty sure that she thought we are stupid tourist.

According to her we need at least 6 weeks advanced reservation.

We didn’t plane this French trip 6 weeks ago….       After that our theme was changed without my consensus.

Since Pius loves pre-historic place and held a GPS, wherever we arrived, it was pre-historic place.

Pech-Merle, they provided French and English, but explanation in English was only one sentence.

Meanwhile, explanation in French was 15-20 sentences. French people nodded and showed their excitement.

Without explanation, it was very hard to understand drawings.  I though I can draw better than this….

Pech-Merle is a hugh cave with some paintings/drawings

dated back to 15000 years plus.  Also, there are footprints dated back to the same time.  Unfortunately, I wasn't allow to take

photos.  Lascaux II is a duplicate of the orginal Lascaux Cave.  The paintings are indeed impressive.
